I like the feeling and emotion she reads with and all the characters have distinct voices.

She doesn't bother me at all and she doesn't bother me in this book either. As for the narration, I know Justine Eyre can be a little controversial because people find her accents poorly done. Clara and Rex develop a true friendship and their attraction grows as their friendship and mutual understanding of each other grows. His devotion to his mother is an example. But the reader slowly finds out that Rex has a big heart and he loves people completely, with faults and all. He took very little ownership for his part in the debacle which irritated me further. He further angered me when he blamed her for his advice backfiring on his friend who is now angry at Rex. I wondered how I was going to like Rex after hearing his manipulating advice. During this conversation, he advises his friend how to keep his bed partner in his bed but not expecting him to marry her. He doesn't know it at the time but she is already acquainted with him because she overheard a conversation he had with his friend. I loved that he sees her when no one else does. Clara is quick, sweet, smart, funny, and has a subtle beauty that Rex notices almost right away. I never took my earbuds out that's how good it was. This may be my favorite in the Lady Truelove series! I listened to this book in one sitting.
